To bring Adm. McRaven's remarks into focus and apply them as we work to correct the specific problems we face in righting our struggling nation, I add that our first line of defense is NOT the government.  Our first line of defense is found in the family and in the home .... think parents.  Know too that as we climb this mountain now before us, that the higher we climb, the fewer things we can carry with us toward the peak.  Thus it is important that we understand what really matters as we "focus on the end" and not the means.  We must come to understand that the "Holy Spirit" is always the answer to every question.
