Analyst's note: Our mothers where right, "What a web we weave when first we set out to deceive." Does any one wonder Why being Chechen is a badge of honor for Islamist militants? I'm confident you will want to know the rest of the story contained within this post.
"ISIS (ISIL to some) is not a homegrown phenomenon. Formerly al-Qaeda in Iraq, it was trained by the U.S. military and financed by Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and staged in Turkey along with other fanatical jihadist groups."

ABC News mentions that “for decades Chechen separatists have waged asymmetric warfare against Russian forces for control of the Northern Caucasus” and that U.S. special operations forces have engaged in secret battles with “highly capable Chechen fighters along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border since 2001.”
Because Chechen terrorists in the past have been supported by the United States in its ongoing effort to undermine Russia, this scenario is unlikely.
As noted by researcher Wayne Madsen last year, the U.S. has financed Chechen groups through a number of civil society groups, a fact “gleaned from the tranche of a quarter million leaked classified State Department cables,” writes Madsen. His “Washington’s ‘Civil Society’ and CIA Financing of Chechen and Other Caucasus Regional Terrorists” provides striking detail on how the CIA, NGOs, USAID, the Soros foundations and the United Nations have worked together to underwrite Chechen terror. The Bush neocons also figure prominently in the Chechen connection.
Washington’s Blog detailed the neocon backing of Chechen terrorism in 2013 as information about the Boston Bombing and its alleged connection to Chechen terrorism emerged. Additionally, former FBI agent Coleen Rowley has followed the neocon link to Chechen terror.
There is one particular aspect of the Boston Bombing that was immediately glossed over by the corporate media – the involvement of Ruslan Tsarnaev, the uncle of the suspected Tsarnaev brothers. Ruslan’s background is very interesting: he was formerly married to the daughter of a very high-ranking CIA official and worked at the State Department and CIA connected USAID in the Caucasus.
In April of 2013, I wrote extensively about the CIA, Islamic terror and the Chechen connection.
“Despite all the evidence the United States, Britain, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia orchestrated efforts to undermine the Soviet Union – not only during its occupation of Afghanistan, but also in the Soviet Union’s Muslim states – and spread radical Sunni conflict throughout the region, we will be expected to believe brothers Anzor and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev are part of a renewed effort by an international al-Qaeda to attack America. The effort by the CIA to shepherd this fanatical movement will, of course, be omitted,” I wrote at the time.
Since that time a new and far more awesome terror force has overshadowed al-Qaeda. Despite its obvious connections to the CIA, the Pentagon, and Saudi, Qatari and Turkish intelligence, this force — now occupying tens of thousands of square miles in Iraq and Syria and possessing an arsenal of sophisticated weapons courtesy of the Pentagon — is being portrayed as a direct threat to the United States.
Instead, it is a direct threat to Iran and the government of al-Assad in Syria. ISIS is designed to ensure a continuation of ethnic and religious strife in the Middle East and keep the barbarians from coming together, as Zbigniew Brzezinski explained.
The admission of Chechen involvement adds more evidence to an already well established fact — ISIS is not a homegrown phenomenon. Formerly al-Qaeda in Iraq, it was trained by the U.S. military and financed by Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and staged in Turkey along with other fanatical jihadist groups.
