Barack Obama has a reputation for lending a hand to radical Muslim terrorist groups. He’s sent financial aid to Hamas, the group lobbing rockets at Israel, and propped up the Taliban a bit by releasing five high ranking members from Gitmo in an illegal negotiation.

Now, General Thomas McInerney says Obama is responsible for the creation of the Islamic State terror group, and in a recent interview with Fox News, explains how the president ended up arming the organization that is causing so much havoc in northern Iraq.

ISIS forces have been slaughtering non-Muslim Iraqis, beheading American journalists, and have made numerous threats against the United States.

The group had ample time to build up its ranks and firepower due to Obama making the politically motivated decision to pull troops out of Iraq too early.

According to Worthy News, Gen. McInerney stated that the U.S., under President Obama’s leadership, “built ISIS” due to the terror group obtaining arms from the Benghazi consulate that was attacked two years ago by radical jihadists.

“We backed I believe in some cases, some of the wrong people and not in the right part of the Free Syrian Army and that’s a little confusing to people, so I’ve always maintained … that we were backing the wrong types. Some of those weapons from Benghazi ended up in the hands of ISIS – so we helped build ISIS.”

It seems that President Obama’s anti-colonialism has led to the birth of one of the most dangerous terror threats this country has faced in years. Had Obama not attempted to get in bed with radical Muslim “rebels,” it’s likely that ISIS wouldn’t have many of the resources they now possess, once again making this entire mess the president’s fault.

As a result of his foreign policy blunders involving the Middle East, President Obama needs to take action to shut down the ISIS threat immediately. This situation was created entirely due to his ineptness as a leader, and now thousands of lives are in danger as a result.

It’s only fair that the individual responsible for creating a problem like the Islamic State should be the one cleaning it up, and that requires a very strong military response, including special operators and boots on the ground to crush ISIS before they are able to carry out a 9/11 style attack on American soil.
