Born in the ninth century, the 12th Imam disappeared at the age of five and supposedly exists in a state of occultation, destined to return to Earth in the future. In these modern days it seems it has become unpopular and quite politically incorrect to speak with any honesty about the religion of Islam. This hasn’t always been the case. No, once upon a time brave men, leaders of western civilization, were willing to speak out against the obvious vagaries and destructive powers of Islam. Sadly, we don’t seem to have many leaders like this anymore; happily, we do have a history and many written recordings of the wisdom of these brave and forward thinking men.
Mad World News has posted an excellent summary of what the leaders of the free world at the founding of our nation had to say about the evils of Islam.
Ben Franklin on Islam: “Nor can the Plundering of Infidels be in that sacred Book (the Qur’an) forbidden, since it is well known from it, that God has given the World, and all that it contains, to his faithful Mussulmen, who are to enjoy it of Right as fast as they conquer it.”
John Adams on Islam: Adams wrote to John Jay about Muhammad calling him a “military fanatic” who “denies that laws were made for him; he arrogates everything to himself by force of arms.”
Adams also added the following forward to a copy of the Quran which he commissioned to be printed in 1806.
This book is a long conference of God, the angels, and Mahomet, which that false prophet very grossly invented; sometimes he introduceth God, who speaketh to him, and teacheth him his law, then an angel, among the prophets, and frequently maketh God to speak in the plural. … Thou wilt wonder that such absurdities have infected the best part of the world, and wilt avouch, that the knowledge of what is contained in this book, will render that law contemptible … (John Adams)
Thomas Jefferson on Islam: “The ambassador answered us that [the right] was founded on the Laws of the Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have answered their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Mussulman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise.”
John Quincy Adams on Islam: John Quincy Adams wrote of Mohammed that “the essence of his doctrine was one of violence and lust.”
He also wrote: The precept of the koran is, perpetual war against all who deny, that Mahomet is the prophet of God. The vanquished may purchase their lives, by the payment of tribute; the victorious may be appeased by a false and delusive promise of peace; and the faithful follower of the prophet, may submit to the imperious necessities of defeat: but the command to propagate the Moslem creed by the sword is always obligatory, when it can be made effective. The commands of the prophet may be performed alike, by fraud, or by force. (American Annual Register)
“The natural hatred of the Mussulmen towards the infidels is in just accordance with the precepts of the Koran. [..]

It wasn’t just Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and John Quincy Adams either – just about 100 years later the great British leader Winston Churchill would write these words:
“How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy.
The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.
The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities – but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith.”
