After only two years of controlling both houses of Congress; once again, those astute liberals have recognized a problem, analyzed it, and are about to take effective, remedial action. Yeahhhhhh!

After weeks and weeks of negotiations, Feinstein rolled her eyes and took a deep breath before explaining the ordeal that the Senate Restaurants had become for her!!!!! [this in itself indicates several problems to me.]
* First - did you notice the word restaurants was PLURAL? Just how many
restaurants do 100 people NEED?
* Second - ‘ordeal?????’ how can this poor dear handle such trivial things as
the war in
something as meaningful as a restaurant is an ‘ordeal‘?????
She goes on to say: “It’s clearly not the sort of thing that I ran for the Senate to do, but somebody has to do it.” My god, such heroism, such insightfulness - why, she is willing to fall on a hand grenade just to show what a brave, lion hearted trooper she is!
The financial condition of the world’s most exclusive restaurant and its affiliated Capitol Hill cafeterias and coffee shops has become so dire that, without a $250,000 subsidy from taxpayers, the Senate won’t make payroll next month! For years, the U.S. Senate’s network of restaurants has lost onerous amounts of money; more than 18 million since 1993, according to one report and an estimated 2 million this year alone!!!!!!
Here’s one more little gem for you. I am speaking of the Senate’s string of restaurants; please understand …. our wonderful House has their own little bunch of prestigious, elite dining facilities!!!!! And you wonder where our Congress comes up with the idea of ENTITLEMENTS!!!! Each group has their own dining facilities, coffee shops, sandwich shops, eateries, and such.
Now, here’s what you WON’T hear from the media. Some years back, the House voted to ‘privatize’ all their facilities, and this year, Ms. Feinstein is lobbying for the Senate to do the same. Since the House privatized theirs; not only have they stopped losing money, BUT, due to a neat little contractual arrangement that was made at the time; the vendor has paid money BACK to the House Food Committee! So, after only 12+ years of watching the House’s arrangement, our quick thinking, fast acting Senate has decided that privatizat ion must be the way to go!
BUT, the kicker here is … for all you liberal minded folks … PRIVATIZATION! Why, the very word makes most liberals froth at the mouth and gag and choke. They are the believers of government run, big bureaucracies - anything you can do, the government can do better, type of thinking. It just sticks in their throats, the fact that, once again, their revisionalist way of thinking has failed!
And YOU want THEM to federalize the energy industry, to federalize and control a National Medical and Prescription Drug program? Let’s face it; if Ms. Feinstein gets her undies all bunched up over managing a program which effects hundreds of folks … what the hell will be her reaction to managing a program that affects over 300 MILLION???????
