Israeli Supreme Court President Justice Dorit Beinisch further explained that the harm done to the detainees' personal freedoms by Israel's Unlawful Combatants Law was directly proportional to the harm they had done to the human rights of their victims..... Like the U.S., Israel does allow those it holds under administrative detention to appeal their incarceration, but only before a military tribunal. In certain cases Israel's Supreme Court may review the decision of the military judges and issue its own ruling, though it usually only does so in order to reinforce the original verdict.
Furthermore, in order to prevent its legal system from becoming bogged down and its security forces from being handicapped in their war on terror, Israel does not permit detained terrorists access to the evidence against them.
