Officials from the Government Accounting office are showing renewed concern about the potential for radioactive waste to get into the hands of terrorists, who might theoretically explode a device containing the requisite material and create a new 9/11 panic.

They are right to be concerned, especially considering how long the dithering has gone on to safeguard the huge stockpiles of this deadly stuff that is already virtually available for the terrorists' taking.
