For most Americans the compass of concern regarding border security inevitably points south, to the US-Mexican border. Whether the potential threat be an uncontrolled flux of illegal immigrants, flashpoints of organized drug gang violence, or weapons smuggling it’s usually the southern border that comes to mind.
