Analyst notes: Here is an article reporting that a government study shows Washington DC would survive a terrorist nuclear attack. The study assumes one bomb is used and that its yield is 10 kilotons. This is about 1/10 to 1/20 of the size of the Hiroshima bomb dropped by the US on Japan. Now what is to say that the terrorist bomb would be so small, or if they were that small the terrorists would limit themselves to using only one bomb?
It is interesting that once again the Feds are trying to tell America that "All is well. Nothing to worry about." Just as they have done for the current economic situation. Indeed, one would expect that if they are smart enough to build a bomb, they are likely to know what yield it will have and how to make a second bomb.
Why do government analysts assume such a low yield and one bomb? Could it be because they want people to believe there is no problem with their lax border controls, their weak homeland security work, and their warm and fuzzy treatment of the Muslim Brotherhood? If this "don't worry" attitude reminds you of the treatment of Nadal Hassan before he killed a bunch of American servicemen.... are you surprised that even a nuclear terrorist threat is no big deal, in the Feds eyes.
Wake up! We do not want a nuclear bomb of any size exploding in our capital or any other American location!
