Analyst's note: Absolutely must read. We once again join with Stand Up America and other patriots who call for the forced resignation or impeachment of Mr. Holder now! Congress has been demanding oversight information you can read or download the whole letter here: Letter to DOJ from Congress – Wiretaps prove knowledge at the top.
See why we join with Stand Up America in stating that President Obama, his appointees, and czars must be replaced, NOW. Our nation's security depends on YOU and I ... not our military, not our DoD, DHS, FBI, CIA, or DoS ... we have our Constitution in hand and are now the front lines of this final battle now underway for this country. 'Fast and Furious' is likely the biggest cover-up since Watergate.
This situation was implemented in the death of one of our sovereign citizens (U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry). Hmmm….. enemies foreign and domestic? Not sure, but this was definitely NOT friendly to our enumerated RIGHTS that exist regardless of the presence of a formal government ... i.e. natural rights given to man by our Creator.
This seems to be the story that just continues to provide. I'm also beginning to note that often when we read of major criminal activity, I often find it associated with Chicago. As an example, we find that Mr. Obama and his administration has significant relationship with a significant number of "Chicago activists" -- some would say terrorists -- to include: the Weather Underground terrorist-group founder Bill Ayers, the New Party, the Arab American Action Network (AAAN), and the Muslim Brotherhood. Yes, the same Muslim Brotherhood who are the greatest Islamist radical lobby ever to penetrate and infiltrate the White House, Congress, the State Department and the main decision making centers of the US government. Could we really have expected less from a "community organizer?" We frequently see suggested ties to our nation's illegal immigration problem.
We can all now see: "Documents obtained by CBS News show that the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) discussed using their covert operation "Fast and Furious" to argue for controversial new rules about gun sales." We are also now aware of an alleged money-laundering operation run by the DEA.
The “detachable magazine” and .22 caliber criteria would make the ubiquitous Ruger 10/22 and Marlin 795 subject to this reporting. These rifles are so common and inexpensive that this would have long reaching and significant impacts on weapons that are not even considered to be “regulated” such as the popular AR-15 rifle.
In Maryland for instance, the Marlin 795 is currently on sale with a national retailer for $100. The reporting requirement in the affected states would have to report your purchase if you decided to buy a rifle for both your son and daughter. Some how the fact that it:
1. Is a .22 caliber
2. can accept a detachable magazine
3. is inexpensive enough that I can afford more that one at a time
This would make you a member of a drug cartel or something (?)…. Nevermind that in many states the local laws limit you to one firearm purchase per month. Note also that this reporting can also be considered a form or even an introduction to a national gun registry which is the slippery slope to gun confiscation and the loss of our second ammendment right.
I recommend an internal site search on the terms "Fast and Furious".
Issa: ‘Fast and Furious’ documents show officials had info on ‘reckless tactics’
By Jerry Seper - Washington Times
The chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committeeon Tuesday said new documents show that senior Justice Department officials in Washington, despite their previous denials, were given “specific information about reckless tactics” in the botched “Fast and Furious” gunrunning investigation.
In a letter, Rep. Darrell E. Issa, California Republican, rebuked Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. for what he described as Mr. Holder’s “continuing efforts to mislead Congress about both the contents of the wiretap applications and details of who knew about and gave approval for reckless tactics.”
While refusing to produce documents on the Fast and Furious operation that have been subpoenaed by the committee, Mr. Issa said, Mr. Holder previously denied knowledge of and cast doubt on the possibility that the wiretap applications contained information about reckless tactics.
“The wiretap applications show that immense detail about questionable investigative tactics was available to the senior officials who reviewed and authorized them. The close involvement of these officials — much greater than previously known — is shocking,” Mr. Issa wrote.
“Throughout the course of the congressional investigation into Operation Fast and Furious, the [Justice] Department has consistently denied that any senior officials were provided information about the tactics used in Operation Fast and Furious,” he wrote. “The wiretap applications obtained by the committee show such statements made by senior department officials regarding the wiretaps to be false and misleading.”
Mr. Issa said that Mr. Holder repeatedly has either denied involvement by senior officials in Fast and Furious or asserted that the wiretap applications did not contain detail about “irresponsible investigative tactics.”
Wiretaps utilized in Fast and Furious were intended to allow investigators in Arizona to listen to the phone calls of suspect drug traffickers as part of a strategy to reveal evidence of involvement by high-level Mexican cartel associates, Mr. Issa said. [....]
