Analyst's note: Absolutely must read. It is obvious that our senior leaders are at fault here. Too many military "leaders" refuse to understand this Islamist enemy and try to act like we are involved in Afghanistan in some kind of law enforcement activity. Just for starters, we have concealed carry laws that permit U.S. citizens to carry loaded weapons on our streets, in an most facilities here in American, and in our homes, yet we have U.S. Warriors NOT permitted to carry their weapons in a known combat zone. Does anyone see a problem here but me?
Political correctness continue to kill. These senior "leaders" are not going to volunteer to retire, so in my opinion citizens must demand their removal from office.
Clearly Gen Dempsey -- yet another Chairman of the Joint Chiefs who must be replaced -- and most in Washington are unable to understand that strict adherence to the tenets of Islam are guiding those within the Afghan army or police to kill our Warriors. It is called jihad and is far more than just being Taliban members. Like I've been saying political correctness and the unwillingness to understand this Islamist enemy will continue to kill murder our Warriors and those of our allies.
Until the American people stand up and demand this change in attitude, trust me, nothing is going to be done.
Having to continue to report this kind of thing makes me sick. What makes me even sicker is that America either doesn't know/understand what is happening or doesn't care about the deaths of our Warriors. As John Bernard points out

A recent article in the Examiner provides insight that a "[...] a Civil War expert ... has ignited a firestorm today among those increasingly concerned about what some say is a distinct anti-civilian one that has infected much of the military and Homeland Security since 2009.
[....] Yet repeatedly since the election of Barack Obama in 2009, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has referred to the tea party as “potential homegrown terrorists.”
Why? Not a shred of evidence remotely suggests that the tea party has any connection whatsoever with terrorists. Yet some of President Obama’s closet longtime friends have not only been associated with terrorism but actively participated in it, such as Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, who as members of the Weathermen from the 1960s and 70s bombed federal buildings that resulted in the deaths of police officers.
But if one listens to the rhetoric emanating from the White House, DHS, and now the U.S. military, one gets the impression that none of the president’s friends ever posed a threat to the country but hundreds of thousands of tea party activists are ticking time bombs lying in wait to unleash a nuke on an American city at the drop of a hat.
The brainwashing against conservatives by this administration has had a definite impact on the military. One analyst who works for retired U.S. Maj. Gen. Paul E. Vallely told this reporter that now over half of Pentagon personnel are solidly in Obama’s corner and share his values and world view.
And with the publication of the Benson and Weber article, it is now clear that the U.S. Army considers it a valid proposition to assume that a future civil war will be sparked not by extremist Islamists with dirty bombs or left wing insurrectionists inspired by Alinsky or Ayers but by the tea party and the conservatives who participate in it.
Where is the outrage? Politics ... my foot ... we have good men dying here unnecessarily ... and others about to be taken under fire here within out own country .... for what? The Time for Talk is Over: IT IS NOW OR NEVER FELLOW PATRIOTS --GOD HELP US IF WE FAIL! Will America wake up to what is happening when our own government begins to fire on soverign citizens here at home? We all NEED to understand the insidious Muslim Brotherhood and their nefarious Islamist plans against this United States, you and your family. Now - after almost 50 years - they are operating within the highest levels of our federal to local governments and educational structures. [....] What is so damnable about these [...] events and the many others which preceded them is that our government insists on continuing to give these people the benefit-of-the-doubt while placing our own sovereign citizens in their midst like some perverted science experiment even though the evidence clearly indicates these kinds of attacks will continue!
[....] Make no mistake about it; this is a direct reflection of the continued inexplicable defense of the current strategy by, seemingly, our entire government! Our "servants" have allowed themselves to be lulled into complacency by the few who have convinced them that their "analyses" clearly indicate that the vast majority of Afghan culture is supportive of our effort and that if we stay the course, it will succeed. While this might have been an acceptable argument ten years ago, it is nothing short of criminal to perpetuate this argument in the light of these continued acts of "treachery" TEN, YEARS, LATER!!
What was missed or rather expunged for the "analyses" was any "derogatory" mention of the religion which binds and directs all elements of Afghan society. And it is this religious doctrine which ultimately motivates those we have declared allies to act against us. What our "leaders" fail to understand is that these men are in fact at war, but not against those with whom they share a common doctrine, common culture, common ancestry; they are at war with us! And if some of these Afghans, many of whom we have declared to be allies, are at ideological odds with us and are not only willing but compelled to wage war with us, we need to perceive them in this way.
When the sitting President of Afghanistan reaches out to an unrepentant Taliban leader, before the cessation of hostilities and recommends he run for President of the very people we have declared he has victimized, it is clear we have no understanding of players and no legitimate vision for the outcome of this 10 year war. Why; because Karzai was our choice of leadership and because not one single voice cried out in condemnation of Hamid Karzai's insult to the price paid by thousands of American Service members to date!

The U.S. military's top general was meeting with senior officials in Afghanistan on Monday to attempt to stop the recent wave of attacks by Afghan soldiers and police against international forces in the country.
On Friday, it was disclosed that U.S. troops have been ordered to carry loaded weapons at all times in Afghanistan, even when they are on their bases. The order was a precaution against such insider attacks.
