Analyst's note: Must read. While a Mexican flag still adorns their post office, Maywood, CA became the "1st American municipality to fire all public employees after being forced into bankruptcy." This occurred after they became a "sanctuary city" in January 2006. The mainstream media provides cover by reporting that city of Maywood "fell victim to the recession." Prior to the bankruptcy, city laws prohibited Mayfield police from supporting any immigration enforcement actions by federal, state or county authorities. Now we can clearly see the results. Maywood is a small town comprising only about 1.2 square miles on the southern border of Los Angeles. More than 96 percent of its residents are Hispanic. The town's official population is listed at 29,000 but may be nearly 45,000 when illegal aliens living in Maywood are counted.
