Now that it is obvious, that the Republican Party is in need of a transfusion of the ideals and ideas that gave it the Gingrich-won Republican victory, seemingly a millennia ago, the party’s “leaders”, now want to rebuild it, a worthy cause indeed! A massive infusion of backbone and intestinal fortitude is also prescribed! As a rabid, and happily admitted “far right” conservative, I feel like Diogenes when I study the “leadership” of the Republican Party. The decline of the party now sees it, not a hair different from the democrats. The Republicans need to scratch one word from their vocabulary; that is “compromise!” The Republicans have compromised to the point, where they have essentially become moderate democrats!

The reference to Diogenes bespeaks the need for honesty, a quality that is lacking in both parties. I would like to offer a few suggestions to help whomever undertakes this project:
